Coronation Street boss Kate Oates has dropped some significant clues towards what the future holds for the soap – from an exciting exit for Pat Phelan through to trauma for David Platt leading into a mysterious second storyline which may also be issue led.
On top of that, she shared her enthusiasm for the tension brewing at the Rovers as Toyah Battersby and Eva Price’s secret baby plan continues – but will their intentions be exposed and what will it mean for the baby’s father Aidan Connor?
Away from delivering the scintillating plot spoilers, Kate relished being a part of history as she sat within the newly opened Victoria Street set, which boasts a police station, a tram station, a Costa coffee, a Co-op and a tattoo parlour among other things.
And most poignantly of all, there is a memorial garden ad a bench placed to remember the 22 victims of the Manchester Arena attack, including Corrie superan Martyn Hett.
You can see everything that Kate said by hitting ‘play’ on the video above. The new set will first be seen on screen on 20th April on ITV.
