Galantis have dropped not one but two new tracks because theyre good to us like that.
The DJ duo knew we were all waiting for new music and figured why drip feed us when they can give us a decent dose of new stuff instead?
Christian and Linus have dropped Satisfied and Mama Look At Me Now, two different sounds and very different videos from their upcoming new record.
One is a modern disco track akin to DNCE with the vocals of singer Max, the other a track all about their struggles to make it to where theyve got to, singing about music teachers telling them theyd never make it then belting out Mama, look at me now!
Theyre both summer anthems in their own right, and Satisfied in particular was a labour of love.
[Satisfied] was track we had for a little bit and it came together piece by piece slowly which is not what we usually do. Usually we have a spontaneous jumping on something and bang it out, Christian revealed exclusively to Metro.co.uk. This was a sleeper, we put it in our back pocket but we just couldnt figure it out. It was a slow grower.
Linus added: Fun fact – part of this song was made in London!
Thats pretty interesting actually, given the pair are international. When Metro.co.uk chatted to the lads on a call, one was in Sweden while the other was in LA.
Were on tour all the time so we work on music every day so it doesnt matter where we have a house, they said when asked how geography affects their music. The studio has gone from being a place – since we made our first album we havent been back to a studio. Now its back stage, the back of a car, a hotel room.
This double release is just the first of many things to come for loyal fans, the lads have got big plans for this year.
[Well be doing] a lot of touring, more music than weve ever done before, were got a new way of releasing music, the promised.
Both Satisfied and Mama Look At Me Now are out now!
