The latest trailer for upcoming epic Frozen 2 has hinted at more of a backstory of Elsas mystical powers, as we were blessed with fresh content today.

Even though we still know little about the larger plot than whats already been revealed, it seems were diving into Elsas story more so as the recent clip hit the internet on Tuesday.

Riffing on the previous teaser released earlier this year that saw Elsa run up an ice-wave after using her powers to petrify it solid, the whole vibe is a littler darker than the first flick.

Were not getting too many musical cues just yet, even though we know there will be singing, so much singing, as the only hint as to the tone came from Grand Pabbie.

As Elsa and Anna venture outside Arendelle with their trusty Olaf and Kristoff in tow, the wise troll said: We have always feared that Elsas powers were too much for this world.

Now, we must hope they are enough.

The cool crew are then seeing travelling north, across the enchanted lands, as they battle some unknown force risking their homeland.

The imagery looks as stunning as ever, as the viewer travels through seasons and situations within the lifelike animation. Complete with an icy horse that we really need to know more about.

Because everyone loves a ghostly, icy horse to whet the plot whistle and were already anticipating a box office dash.

For those needing a little refresher ahead of this round, the first flick Frozen was released in 2013 and told the story of Princess Anna, who, with the help of an iceman, a reindeer and a snowman, sets off to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped their kingdom in an eternal winter.

The animated film was a massive hit, becoming the highest grossing animated film of all time and winning two Oscars, for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for Let It Go.

And, of course, it drove millions of parents crazy thanks to Let It Go being played on a loop for about five years, until Baby Shark came along.

Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell return as Elsa and Anna respectively, as with the first venture into Frozen land, with Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad voicing Kristoff and Olaf the snowman again.
