EastEnders spoilers: Mick Carter fears for his life as Aidan Maguire’s New Year’s Day crime goes wrong
Mick Carter is certainly going to remember the start of 2018 – even though he fears he may not survive it when his role in Aidan Maguire’s criminal heist goes badly wrong and leaves him in the firing line in EastEnders.
Mick has been in two minds about getting involved with the big plot but recently, seeing how much keeping the Queen Vic meant to Linda, he decided that he had no choice and told Aidan that he was in.
An extended New Year’s Day episode sees Mick – along with Phil Mitchell, Vincent Hubbard, Keanu Taylor and Billy Mitchell – put everything into place. But Shirley, worried about what her son is becoming involved in, intervenes and locks him in the barrel cellar.
Mick is thrown into a complete panic, terrified that he isn’t going to be at his spot for the start of the heist and when he is a no show, Aidan is enraged and grabs his gun, making off to confront Mick.
As Shirley and a fuming Aidan come face to face, Mick manages to break himself free of the store and get to where he is meant to be – but still worries that Aidan is capable of killing him.
And his fears of fatality could be realised when one of the men is later shot as the job goes spectacularly wrong.
