iPhone 9, 11 and XL release date and features revealed? Latest rumours hint at Apple’s future plans
Apple has some very big plans for 2018, a tech industry expert has suggested.
The fruity firm is rumoured to be working on its largest phone yet, which has already been unofficially dubbed the iPhone XL.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities said Apple is planning to release an ‘iPhone X Plus’ in September this year which will feature a 6.5-inch OLED screen.
He claimed this mega-mobile would be about as large as the iPhone 7+ and 8+ but feature a wrap-around, edge-to-edge display like the iPhone X.
It might look like previous iPhone Plus models have a much bigger screen than then flagship X, but this is not the case because the Plus versions feature large ‘bezels’ surrounding the display.
If Apple were to remove this from the plus-sized handest, it would be the largest Apple iPhone display in history – as well as the priciest.
The £999 price tag on the iPhone X hasn’t put off Apple fans, however, so the Californian tech behemoth may have concluded that users are willing to stump up the extra cash for luxurious, cutting-edge devices.
Analyst Kuo also said a cheaper OLED model was on the way featuring Face ID, which unlocks the gadget by scanning their owner’s face.
This would cost between $650 and $750, which means it will probably cost about the same in pounds.
However, as with all Apple rumours we’d advise you take this bit of tittle-tattle with a pinch of salt because we won’t actually know anything about the next iPhone until it’s officially announced.
